Gaming Discussion / Re: Is Xenoblade for me?

I did a playough with minimal quest and had a very tough time by about 30% and was getting stomped later on. That said, the game has a lot of options to keep you alive but I feel like even with your best DPS set up being underleveled will make sure you're dealing shit damage. Unlike with Nocturne where you can chain off of enemy weaknesses.

I was looking for your WA3 review, actually, to try and give me a reason to stop playing. I don't necessarily think anyone on the cast is whiny, just so, so fucking bland. They're just "there." It could be Virginia on her own, traversing the wasteland. The boys don't serve any purpose at all other than as game-play elements.

I'm going to copy my WA3 save onto my second memory card and call it a day and move onto WA4.

Since you put it down, go ahead and look up spoilers and see what you saved yourself from. Worst final boss, ever.

I'd say 99% of wall scrolls are bootleg, If it doesn't have a copyright printed along the bottom it's a bootleg.

Even then, most legit wall scrolls you get are going to be from International Prints, or Great Eastern, which are pretty worthless. When it comes to anime wall scrolls, it really must come from the anime production company before it has value.

Recently won this in an auction.

It has a copyright, and an authenticity stick from Gainax on the top bar.

I can't find any info from the search engines that I can use with English.

Can anyone determine for me the time period, and maybe even a price range for this item?

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Also, does anyone know of a compendium of legitimate wall scrolls? Is there a sure fire way to spot a fake? Will the copy right always be printed along the bottom?

is it possible to program a game for snes, and what is the best language to do so if it is?

thanks in advance

hmmm.... could have swore i just took the time to reply here... weird, and why are my post needing approval anyways?

The suggestion to use Retroarch is a viable one, seeing as how it's new, and few people know that the emulators are more up to date than the actual releases.

use this masterpiece of an emulator instead. Everything is set up for a dozen of so emulators from that one download, just make sure you have the right core selected for the ROM type you load.

Pokemon is simple, it encourages socializing, and it speaks to anyone with a hint of autism.  I can think of few things that digitally have the impact of collecting Pokemon.

weird to say, but this is my favorite announcement for a translation in the way it's written. Just enough info.

dswizzy, I say make your own decision. Just because darknessSavior likes this show enough to buy their overpriced DVDs, doesn't mean that you have to also.

Gaming Discussion / Re: Controllers
« on: January 30, 2013, 12:41:32 pm »
Coming from a fighting game fan who prefers a pad and has been playing since the SNES days.

Best controller is MadCatz fight pads that Capcom published.,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.&bvm=bv.41642243,d.aWM&fp=bcc188cadcd9cf4b&biw=1084&bih=493

It's basically a Saturn controller with an even better d-pad. Unfortunately, if you get into this type of controller, look forward to replacing it every 4 months to a year. they also will hook into a computer so you can do your emulating/maming with it. Sorry, no analog stick.

Worst d-pads I can remember is 360 before they changed them, and the dreamcast, forever.

Favorite episodes are Battletoads and Another World. Seen'em all, but tend to stay away from the smaller 10-20 minute episodes.

I always ended up running out of cards, especially in longer battles or boss fights, since it seems cards can only be refreshed a certain number of times per battle. What was I doing wrong?

When you level up, I think there's 3 differnt things you can put your points into. Isn't one of those the amount of cards you can have in the deck, and the other strength? I sort of ignored HP in favor of the others.
