I didn't know that Cid also speaks in a accent in the japanese version... That changes the way I look at this writing decision as a whole, actually it's nice idea!

Well, I am looking forward to play around and eventually compose with Disch's SPC editor, yes.
About hacking Bounty Sword... probably not by me^^ But I hope somebody will pick it up for a translation in the future.

Just realised that the one of the protagonists is actually speaking the dialect.... Wow, imo that's pretty inacceptable... It would be something else if the NPCs in a specific town would use a dialect for flavor, but this... Oh well.

lytron dude, you never fail to surprise!

Awesome disassemble for the music engine of an interesting game (which has not been touched by romhacking so far)!

I hope this leads to more music engine disassembles in general (you mentioned most of them have a lot of stuff in common) and maybe more interest for this nice unknown game.^^

Seems like Berlin-dialect to me.
Square-Enix also put Bavarian and Platt German into their official translations lately, so I see where this idea came from ;)

It's unfortunately one of the lesser Action-RPGs on the console. Uninspired level design, mediocre controls and boring story. On top of that the menus have ridiculous loading times.
The 2-Player possibility is nice, but it doesn't make it a good game.

Nice idea! But can you make this an optional patch? The Everdrive GB is out, so linking is actually possible to quite some people now ;)

There was one last textroutine fix shortly before release, I guess it caused this. Every textglitch was reported and fixed during betatesting and this never happened to us.

Hooray! As a beta tester I can already say that the translation is marvelous and the game and story absolutely great. Everybody should give this hidden gem a try, I am pretty sure it will amaze a lot of people!

And better don't mind Isao Kronos too much. He seems to like trolling and putting on fights: Googling his Username shows me that he is already banned from starmen, hardcore gaming 101, Fangamer and many more sites...

No accent, but he is talking like somebody who is doing a ritual or preaching. The voice acting is pretty outstanding to say the least, since it fits the text very well (the guy preaches about the end of world through the reincarnation of Dracula). Pretty surprising imo, the target audience couldn't understand the language anyway xD

You need to share this in the hardcore gaming 101 boards, there are people which will likely jump on it and write an article in an instant. xD A good bunch of people there seem to love obscure and original Chinese and Korean games :)

I just saw it as a lesser version of the SFC Original (just as the GBA), but that version's graphics actually seem to have a lot of charme! And it seems to have exclusive contend!
So good job on translating so far and thanks for giving this port some needed attention

:o Was the compression routine already implemented in TerraCraft? Transfering edited tilesets to Terranigma would be ace!

Edit: Nevermind, just realised that the compression routine for Terranigma still need to be figured out.

A game can be good without the best graphics... Final Fantasy IV is still considered to be one of the best Final Fantasys and was remade uncountable times. It also was one of the first Super Famicom RPGs and on top of that probably originally developed for NES, just like this game.

He rebalanced the game and added new features to get the full potential the game had. Additionally you didn't read the thread really well, he also rewrote the script to connect the story properly.

I simply can't see the point why somebody should hate on this, but I probably just got trolled right here.

First up big thanks for this nice release!

I can't promise to do a full betatest, but I am excited to try this out soon. I will leave some feedback after I played a little bit. If it's fun I will play it from start to end :)

G.O.D. might not be the best RPG on the SFC since the battle system and presentation is pretty generic, but the good plot and interesting setting make up for this. I really hope it gets translated at some point.

This hack is a pretty neat idea. I would actually really love to play it after you are done... Avoided the game so far because of the negative reviews, even though it seemed interesting.
