It looks fantastic! You seem to be advance with your level design like me.

If Lazy Shell will cause your changes to be incompatible, then I say to not try to work it in Lazy Shell. Instead, just make it your own thing and not use anything else. I hope that made sense.

Like doing hex editing could work.

Hey all, have been making decent progress with my SMB3 hack, so I thought I'd share!

The basic premise is a colourful collection of levels designed in a similar style to that of the original game, with each world having it's own unique colour palette. My primary focus is on creative and fun level design with a difficulty curve mirroring that of the original game (something that is often lacking in SMB3 hacks). Right now there is no intention to do custom graphics, but that may happen in the future. The first four worlds are almost completely done, with work currently being done on worlds 5 and 6.

ANYWAY, some screenshots and videos:

WORLD 1 - The Hillside (100% complete) - Blue skies and rolling green hills make up the majority of levels in our quaint opening world.

WORLD 2 - Strawberry Plains (100% complete) - Delicious strawberry pink themed levels. No, don't lick the pipes!

WORLD 3 - Mystery Caves (80% complete) - Hidden treasures galore in these underground caves with a tricky overworld pipe maze to boot.

WORLD 4 - Koopa Beach (100% complete) - Cute seaside levels patrolled by friendly koopas (and a bunch of nipper plants now that I think about it)

WORLD 5 - Sunset Ridge (60% complete) - TBA

WORLD 6 - Marshmallow Valley (30% complete) - TBA

WORLD 7 - Arctic Fields (0% complete) - TBA

WORLD 8 - ??? (0% complete)

My first playground with Character Sprites. I'm on a learning exercise, on the way but not quite there i think. What do you think?

Next question: How can I make Mario act fully act like Luigi (when Luigi is running in the air when I jump with him, if you get what I mean) and vice versa? (For example).

As far as you ask that question, you use yy-chr and find the Mario and luigi sprites. They have 4 or 5 frames that you can modify if you want to make that happen. If you mean "running in the air" that means it is a "Flutterjump". Because when he jumps, then there is ASM codings where it has 4 frames animated when you press "A" which is a jump button which currently is the another reason why that is a function.

I read the legal stuff on Dropbox carefully. They make it clear that your Stuff (they actually refer to it as such in the legal notes) is your Stuff and they won't mess with it, but if you share copyrighted stuff then they may be forced to comply with DMCA and other such things. So yeah, if you want to put an IPS file on RHDN, maybe add it to the database? Or use the scratchpad? Or use one of the 100,000 disposable file locker sites out there? Or buy some webspace? Just don't share direct from your Dropbox, although I don't see how an IPS could get DMCAed anyway: that's why we use them after all! :huh:

Because they found that it is a legal consequences for a IPS or xdelta since you were using the game engine without any authorization. I say this, because this is why the IPS or xdelta is founded DMCA according to Dropbox company.

Good afternoon all,

I know its been awhile since I posted here. After hearing the site had problems and had apparently gone down for a bit, I focused more on the Facebook page. After coming to post the update today, I found out that Photobucket now wants me to pay for 3rd party hosting. Since the only reason I had that account was to post on forums, I'm just not going to be able to post picture updates like I was before. Anyone who is interested in seeing what I've already come up with can still visit my page on Photobucket (although I doubt I'll upload much there after their changes to ToS).

The simplest way to see updates is still the Facebook page since I update that fairly regularly.

I've also released Open Beta 3.2 with a few more bug fixes etc. that weren't in the last OB release. If you're interested in checking out the game, here's a link for that as well.

I know I've gotten some feedback from people about not using social media, but that really is the easiest way to find out what's new with the project as it nears completion. I will still make updates to this thread, but with the limits to what I can do on RHDN at this point, it probably won't be very regular. Thank you to all who have shown interest and support for this project, and I hope that you will continue to do so in the future.  :beer:

Look at those list of what fuctfuct had. This shows of whats the games being made as it was ported to GBA, but it contains 32 bit for the sake of the headers from the beginning of the game.

Good! :D  So, if you really need help with that I am glad to do so because im in the middle of finishing doing my 2nd level for e-reader.



This is an example of what I've done for so long when I create levels. It took waaaaay longer because I was doing the bonus in the other room, but im glad this came together.
