My Hero for the Sega Master System.

Sweet tap-dancing Christ on a crumpet that game kicks my ass every time. Though it's one of those games that I personally find to be difficult, yet some of my friends didn't seem to have much trouble getting much further in the game than I ever could.

The only reason I can think of would be someone wanting a dedicated emulation device hooked up to one of their TVs. I had been looking at a few online for a wee while, but I think it might actually be cheaper to get a Raspberry Pi, put in a case and use it to emulate everything.

Which would leave my physical game collection gathering dust in my closet.

I wonder just what kind of remake it will be.

If it's just a straight remake or an expansion on the first game, I may not even bother. I would rather see continuation of the story, especially after Advent Children.

Plus I don't own a PS4, so there is that.

I just watched a speed run of Cadash and it looks FUCKING AWESOMME

It looks really hard though...Idk if I could be very effective at it.

Cadash isn't as hard as it probably looks. One of my favourites also.

I think the confusion here is over the meaning of いい思いをする. It means to have a good time and it's normally used negatively when someone - normally part of a group - is either having more than their fair share of fun, or not doing their fair share of work, without any real consequences. It's used a lot when someone slacks off during group work and then still gets the same rewards as the rest of the group who not only did their own share of the work, but covered the slackers share as well.

I also remember a game called (I think) 'number munchers' where you played a little monster that had to eat certain numbers, like prime numbers or multiples of four of whatever.

I'm assuming the Japanese version is a LOT less valuable?
(like a lot of Japanese version JRPGs)

Suikoden was a hit here in Japan, so not only did they produce a great number of copies, they also re-released them as 'hit' games, basically the same as when a PSX game would go 'platinum' in the west and it would be re-released for cheap. People still love the game, it's just that there are more than enough copies to go around.

But yeah, price wise it's not nearly worth as much as the U.S or Euro versions.

Well, I don't know what you want me to say. Your translation is all across the board, going from "the gist of what they're saying" to "way off the mark" at times. If you want to do a localization to change what it says for a western audience, then you're welcome to do that. But I don't really understand what the point of asking for feedback is.

I think what he wanted was for someone to correct his translations.

Well I'm already half way through a family-sized cask of sake, so let me take a look.

...or something like that. Check the English against the cut-scene and edit it to match what's happening.

It's paced really well. The transition from a boy outside playing, pretending to have adventures, to a young man facing off against evil happens so gradually.  Other than that it was a little paint-by-numbers in terms of story and gameplay, but it was still the good kind of paint-by-numbers. It's not my most favourite game, but there is a special place in my heart for Grandia.

I think what confuses me more is all the hate that Grandia II gets.

There is no real explanation, it's been the source of video-game jokes for a long time.

There was one game though, a PC RPG, that played on the concept quite well. For instance, if you killed a wolf, you got a basket and a red dress as a pick up, implying that the wolf ate little red riding hood. I can't for life of me remember the name of the game though.
