Congrats! Megami Tensei series is one of my favorites, as my avatar suggests, haha.

So, with all of the SNES MegaTen games translated, it looks like the PSX games are next.

I would love to see these games translated someday as well.

Awesome work! Can't wait to try this out!

I was wondring if there was any difference between this game and the Nintendo Power version?

Oh, if it wasn't clear, I'm admitting that I was wrong about chibi. It can be used offensively but it's definitely not an offensive word.

So, if I wanted to push towards a more literal translation, we could go with Lil' Devil, Childrens' Robe, and ??? Hammer.

I still feel like my choices are still optimal but I'm always open to persuasion.

Here's some ideas I had.

Chibikko Hammer:
- Toy Mallot / Hammer
- Mini Mallot / Hammer

Chibikko Devil:
- Child Devil

Chibikko Robe:
- Short Robe
- Petite Robe

Chibikko Stare:
- Minor Stare / Glare

Thank you for this! I've been translating the enemies and item names myself because I didn't think anyone was interested in doing it anymore. You saved me a lot of time. haha

I'm looking forward to playing SoM again!

Just started playing Legend of Heroes - Trails in the Sky. Got the first and second game on Steam. The battle system Isn't that great, but I'm enjoying the story so far, so that's all that matters. :)

Nice! Here's an even earlier one I found in a booklet about Square games

Wow! It looks like they were working on setting up the locations for the story and didn't really have the world map planned out yet.

I've been purchasing Japanese Seiken Densetsu 2 guides on Ebay and recently got the Seiken Densetsu 2 Scoop Guide. When I was looking through it, I noticed that some the images are different from the release game.

Here is what appears to be a beta map of SD2. Most of the continents look the same, but a lot of the locations and towns are different. Also the desert area is larger and the Tree Palace is missing.

This is the text that's written above the map:

The map image isn't very good, it wasn't printed very well on the page. but if anyone is interested I can give link to the full page 600 DPI scan.

Awesome! Been wanting to play this game for a long time.  Congratulations

Sorry for the late response, I've been under the weather lately.

Thanks for your answers, here is a list of the Japanese bitmap characters I'm using.

I might need to find a better bitmap Japanese font.

Edit: I modified the pixels of the font. How does this look?

I'm trying find the right bitmap characters for this Japanese text.

The Bitmap font should say Ika Ika Tappu (squid squid tap) but it's difficult tell since they're only a fews pixels in size.

I don't know but does it have to be a font ? I think they could have drawn the letters all by themselves when designing the logo... they are very standard.

You're probably right. They might be custom made letters just for the game. I'll find something close to what they use or I'll have to make my own custom letters.

Thanks for the help

Thanks. Yeah, it's the "Live A Live" font I was talking about. I have a feeling it's a custom font. I'll do what you suggested and see if I can get something close. :)

Anyone know the name of the font used to create the Live A Live logo?

Gaming Discussion / Re: GCW-Zero Handheld on Kickstarter

Well, I pledged for it. If and when I get my hands on one I'll have to let you know how it is. They upped the ram to 512MB and 16GB storage.

As long as emulation on the handheld is good, I'll be happy. I just want to play some of my favorite classic games on the go. lol

I've never pledged for anything on Kickstarter before, but i was thinking about this being my first.

I've been looking for a handheld to use mainly for emulation (NES, SNES, Genesis, GBA) and I'm hoping this maybe it. GCW Zero seem like a sold handheld console and it's open source.

However, having one of these as a portable emulation station (emulators & ROMs on the Micro SD) would be great.

This would be the only reason I'd actually buy it.

I'm surprised I never heard of this game, it looks amazing. I'll have to check it out.

Looks likes the developers are doing a type of kick starter for the HD version.

I maintain that if people weren't literally paying them money for nothing they would have been bought out long ago.  (By that I mean that only a tiny fraction of the games that people pay them money for probably ever get installed, much less played.)

So true, it's hard to resist some to steam's sales they have. I have several games a bought that I may never play. lol

Looks like this would be great for CD based translations. making it easy to patch Playstation or Saturn games mite get more people interested in translating them.
