Title: How do I edit PS1 games directly from the CDs? Is it even possible?
Post by: FailSandwich on January 23, 2019, 01:33:25 pm
I can read the files and play the audio files and I'm fairly certain I can edit the text files. But is there a way to replace some of the PS1 audio and images directly on the disk so I can play them on my PS2 Slim? I have Tigger's Hunny Hunt and I wanted to try and make it as un-kid-friendly as possible.

Of course.  There are many threads on the subject.  CDmage is quite popular.  See also:

I hope you don't mean editing the CD-ROM discs as they are, because they're, you know, read only. Unless you installed a mod in your PS2, you're not going to be able to play burnt CD-Rs.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but the thread title and your post suggest you're saying "can I edit CD-ROM discs and put them back into my PS2", in which case the answer is hell no. If you work with an image file then sure, you can change stuff, but to play it on the PS2 you'll need some kind of mod.
