Title: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night XDELTA file
Post by: Turom on November 21, 2018, 04:32:24 pm
Hi there,

I try my luck here, does anyone still have the XDELTA file to convert the alternate SLPM 86023 ISO into the one suitable for applying the patch?

Patch page: https://www.romhacking.net/translations/1427/

Gemini mentions it in the README file (https://www.romhacking.net/translations/psx/patches/1427readme.txt) but his page is down so I wonder if maybe someone would still have it so I can convert my game's ISO into the correct one.

Thanks

Just an update, sadly I wasn't able to find a patch suitable for my copy (https://imgur.com/a/3Kp8m2p) despite having the same ISO code, so if you guys have an updated patch with the xdelta applied that works with this version or the xdelta file itself I'll be happy to get it.

To make this work I had to get the 1.0 ISO by other means and it works well but I would like to patch my own disc if possible.

My old readme incorrectly uses the first print as the compatible version, while it's actually this one:

Not sure if other reprints are compatible, but the latest one definitively is.

My version is this one:

AKAIK it's the first print, that's why I was confused, thanks for clearing that up!

By chance do you still have the XDELTA patch to convert the first print ISO to the one you have?

Cheers for the mod work BTW, it's awesome :)
