Can you help me find a good audio video switcher?

I've posted this everywhere, so hopefully someone here will try to help me out.

I have a couple of A/V selectors, but I'd really like to get one that can get around signal loss by boosting it a bit without adding interference. I have a Radio Shack one that works fine, but it makes video a bit brighter, which makes things harder to record and see. Not to mention it has ghosting. Some examples:

You're probably thinking "Wow they look the same", but the second picture has some extra brightness and you can see a sort of shadow along the right side of every single pixel. It looks like JPEG compression.

I'd prefer one that has S-Video connectors, and inputs for at least four systems. I'm stuck in the past so no component video for me. And if has two outputs, then that would be just perfect.

So uh. I'm looking for help. I need a good switcher that doesn't degrade the original, has at least four inputs (S-Video!), two outputs (hard to find, I guess), and is cheap. Or if anyone has one they'd like to offload or trade, we can talk.

I don't want a monster that'll raise my electric bill. I just want something decent and affordable.

If you just want to record stuff, there are AviSynth plugins that can fix that haloing.

I'd rather keep the source video signal as free of image enhancements and "corrections" as possible. Once I have my AVI files, I can use other programs to deinterlace and stuff. But thanks.

AviSynth will work just like an AVI file for all other applications. AviSynth doesn't do anything to the original source video, it just pretends to be an AVI file and corrects on the fly

I know. But I don't want -any sort of modifications- to the source signal. I need a clean capture which I can then fuck with at my heart's content.

I got this beat up General Electric A/V switcher at the flea market today for three bucks. I figured I wouldn't lose anything by giving it a shot... and that's the result. The picture has some very, very light brightening applied to it, but it doesn't have any annoying shadowing! I can fix the colors with some brightness / contrast adjustments after the video is recorded.

Woohoo.

One fault, though, is that it does not convert S-Video to RCA, so I only have one usable output port. I'm going to have to buy an S-Video splitter. Hopefully that won't degrade the signal...

Or, if you are a cheap ass like me, you could build your own S-Video to RCA cable, i did it some weeks ago so i can connect my PC to the TV (does not have S-Video) i took me less than an hour and less than 5 dollars...

Um.

I need an S-Video splitter so one end can go to my TV and the other to my capture card, so I can play and record at the same time. I'd buy one off eBay right now, but their search function is broken at the moment.
