Hi,
I have a question as to all the warp zones of Super Mario Bros. 2 (the Japanese version, what we call "The Lost Levels"): is it true that these numbers below (which are subtracted by 4 and then multiplied by 4) are the arbitrary numbers used in the game's code which describe the warp zones to be loaded?
Using the information from doppelganger in regards to the first Super Mario Bros. game's warp zones, they are: $04 = loads warp zone to World 3 from World 1-2 (accessible by vine). $05 = loads warp zone to World 4 from World 1-2 (bypass the exit pipe). $06 = loads warp zone to World 1 from World 3-1 (bypass the flagpole, or take first pipe to a Coin Room and you'll end up here after leaving it). $07 = loads warp zone to World 6 from World 5-1 (accessible by vine, which initially takes you to a Coin Heaven). $08 = loads warp zone to World 7 from World 5-2 (bypass the exit pipe). $09 = loads warp zone to World 8 from World 5-2 (accessible by vine). $0A = loads warp zone to World 5 from World 8-1 (bypass the flagpole, or take the pipe before the small mid-air block island) $0B = loads warp zone to World B from World A-2 (bypass the exit pipe). $0C = loads warp zone to World C from World A-3 (bypass the flagpole by using the springboard near it). $0D = loads warp zone to World D from World B-4 (take the very last pipe you come across).
