Two people working on the same patch usually means ones gunna get done sooner than it would otherwise if you have competitive people. I hope we have competitive people here :D.

Basically, GB/GBC games just don’t get all that much attention around here. There isn’t much rhyme or reason to it, really.

No. There are plenty of GB/C games that never got translated but were still really good. Handhelds should get the same love consoles do.
Who will quote me next?

Well, I love handhelds more than 'stationary' consoles, somehow I spent more time with them (a lot of car rides & boring trips, not mentioned portable chiptune stuff) :)

Just wondering where this project has reached (if anywhere). There was talk of a late December, early January release was there not?

sorry that this project has been at a standstill for a while, i have been trying to get my hacking mojo going again, i know i did promise a dec-jan release but the first release wont be for a little while longer. (i knew i should have stayed away from brawl hacking lol) but in anycase i will still be working on this. (kinda on my own for a while seeing as siber_cat is always busy lol) you know what screw brawl i think i will devote all of my free time to this untill i go back to school.

Thanks for little briefing linkzelda122 - I was afraid that this translation is abandoned again & that I'll never see it finished.

By the way - Is there anything I can do to speed up process/help (nope, I don't know Japanese; but I can spend some of my free time between university and job to get things done)?

I love this series, and yet I wasn't even aware this game existed until now. Go figure.

Hmm... translation team last active August 17 2009 and July 9 2010...

I can't download the patch for some reason. Upload it onto a more reliable site, like mediafire.

I am extremely dubious of the quality of this 'translation'; all the strings are apparently in plain ASCII, and it's rather Engrishy/AIMglishy.

Oh man, I've got the big red message WARNING, because this topic is old but...

This is finished then? I seemed to have missed the news item on it, and also, why aren't people going crazy over it with news across the internet? The original Survival Kids was one of the best games on the GBC, it's fantastic news if the Japan only sequel is now playable.

There's a link to an older topic which seems to imply it's actually been abandoned? I am lost here...

Maybe you should play it before you get excited. Only a handful of sentences are actually translated in darkmew5/Chpexo's patch.

i wasn't aware that you guys were still keen on this game. now i feel really bad for letting you guys down. (this isn't the first time i had this happen) i would like to make it up to you guys by doing some of the translations on the game in progress. unless you guys don't want me to get back on this project, i'll understand.
