The Book Thread

Le Morte d'Arthur.  It kinda sucks, 'cause the sheer amount of jousting and reoccurring 'sir' is larger than how many times Glenn Beck/FOX news shouts Communist/Socialist/Fascist/Czar/Obama.  My copy is around 500 pages, and if these things were omitted, I'm sure the book would be under 200, maybe even 150 pages o_O

But it gets a little good here and there.  I had more fun with The Bachelor of Arts, which felt a lot like Camus's The Stranger and Sylvia Plath's The Belljar.

Good that Hamlet takes care of him not surviving the III. Act.

This information is the only hope one has, of getting through his blabla. It should be the official subtitle of the play.

I guess the last time I read it, I just rushed through all speeches looking for the next monologue or soliloquy of Hamlet. Now every word of his just irks me off mentally. It seems that Polonius himself is enough context to make even single words annoying. His character must have been inspired by religious dogmatists.

Currently 200 pages in Don Quixote, which is perhaps one of the funniest and most entertaining books I have ever read.

I have only managed to read the beginning, because my courses always require me to read different books and so it is on hold for now, but already the beginning was incredible. And if one takes into account the time it was written in = incredible! Take that “Robinson Crusoe”, Cervantes was first!
