My first actual ROM hacking project is complete!

Hajime no Ippo for the GBA is a Boxing game similar to Punch-Out, but with Hajime no Ippo characters and special moves. It also has a nifty customization mode to prolong replay value a little bit more.

The game should be completely translated and error free, but as this is my first actual project, please take that into consideration.

Looks/sounds pretty good, and seems fast paced. Any tips on how to play? I don't know the controls or mechanics...

As for how to play, its kinda like punch-out.

Doing nothing is blocking, but after a bunch of hits your guard'll break and then anything gets through. You can change the keys in the option menu. For the combos see the Move lists in-game. And then there's spirit moves aka. special moves that you pull off. There's a few defensive ones as well. I think thats the gist of it...

As for a tip, playing the story mode is pretty simple, since they don't hit really hard or anything. I find evading pretty difficult half the time, so I just wait until they finish a combo, and then hit them. It works well against the AI. And if you have the spirit, you can always tuck on a special after a combo. Ippo's Liver Blow is pretty...efficient.

Very little if any IIRC... There is however quite a bit of spoken dialogue in the saturn version.

Well, the PSOne version was translated and released outside Japan, but this version it's worse than the Saturn one , and also the localization wasn't very good at all (I think they messed up completely the difficult)
