Contrary to popular demand, this thread will not be closed because of any necroposting or other issues.

z-byte, no backseat moderating, also, no spam to postcount++.

This thread may continue - on topic - if there is any decent news by its creators or recent news about this project in general. No "when is it done??!?!?!?!", no "close this, it's more than 10 days/months/years/aeons old".

cYa,

I remember taking a crack at this years and years ago. I loved the first game.

If I didn't have so many irons in the fire already, I'd give it another look myself. :P

It appears that my grave-digging 'refreshment' of topic gave some un-expectable results (dang, I should expect it)  ::)
Guess I need to wait another year, or donate someone to finish this thing up (anyone wants to take this 'challenge'?).
Sorry for 'necro-posting', I just had to do it.

Do not mock the moderation staff. The rules are in place for a reason, and really, you didn't do anything aside from having one person post about his interest in the game.

You are now warned.

I'd like to make both an announcement and a request.
First off, I and a friend have taken it upon ourselves to translate SK2. We've already gotten a major portion of the in-game menus done, but that's about it.
Second, I'd like to ask if we might use the materials already posted in this thread.
Either way, we'll make sure to get a working patch of what we have done up on this site in the near future.
And it is nice to know that the translation will still be appreciated.
P.S. Let me know if I should start this in a separate thread rather than hijacking this one.

I forgot about this until now.  I'm not planning on continuing the translation at this time, but I thought I'd post my work so far, as well as my notes and a menu patch instead of it just sitting on my computer doing nothing.
Inside the zip are ips and ups patches (both are the same), which translates most of the menus and item names.  All other text is sort of messed up due to me altering the Japanese font.  The SK2_Hack.txt file contains my very unorganized notes.
Feel free to use any of this in your own translation if you wish, as long as you give credit to me.

This link contains all notes, translation documents, patches, etc.

This link contains only the patch

If you don't mind other people continuing your work, you may want to submit it to the Abandoned Project archive.

I did a translation on Survival Kids 2 way back. I never finished it though; it might be useful if you look at it. http://www.bwass.org/bucket/Survival Kids 2.ips

As there was work apparently being done up until the middle of last year, I was just wondering if there was any progress on this pas the menu translations.
