This is an automated message generated by Romhacking.net's RHDNBot. Update By: DahrkDaiz Yes, I finally decided it's time to release what I DID get finish for Luigi vs Mario. For those who forgot, this is the rundown: Luigi vs Mario was going to turn into Mario Adventure 2. The premise of the game was going to be collecting green coins which would be used to open up new locations. World transitions would work by pipe levels. There would be no kings castles, no airships. just a long adventure. The maps were going to be free roaming also. Alas, my brother reinstalled Windows and over wrote my progress. What you have here is the final version of Luigi vs Mario BEFORE I started the free roaming maps. The Green coins are here and in almost every level I have completed. Worlds 1-4 for Luigi's side are complete, along with half of World 5. worlds 1 and 2 are complete for Mario's side. PATCH TO SUPER MARIO BROS. 3 (PRG 0) (U).NES!!!! NOTE: There are still lots of bugs in this hack, so save state often! Relevant Link: ( http://dahrkdaiz.panicus.org/Manual/)

Hello everybody! I'm new here, but I just had to drop in to bug you all.. I just read how DahrkDaiz lost all his work from the harddrive, and I suppose you all have already been over this several time (if so is the case: I'm sorry for the repetition), but I was just thinking.. The same thing happened to me a while back and I lost everything I had saved. But with the help from a little inexpensive program called FileScavanger I was able to save about 99% of everything that accidentally had been deleted. Wouldn't this be worth a shot? Maybe it is possible to save if not all but maybe a lot of the work you had done DahrkDaiz.. Just a thought.

If such a thing works depends on the kind of hdd failure. If it's physically broken (eg: headcrash) you even be able to run such a program over it If the HDD got formated you are lost as well. The only thing which can be done would be if the files got accidentally deleted. But even then you have to be lucky that no files got written over the old data in the meantime.
This is not entirely true. It does not matter if the harddrive has been formated, as long as you haven't used a program like KillDisc to fill it with junk information. If you just have formated it and installed windows and other programs it is still be possible to retrieve the lost data, as long as the same HDD clusters hasn't been used by new information.
