Funny I'm enjoying this so much, as I'm not a fan of Groove Armada or any other Andy Cato projects. But man, this album's a real gem. The Love Room has the best bassline ever, and I've lost count of how many times I've listened to The Rose Room since last week.

In the words of Rivers Cuomo, "i know that you don't care, but I want you to know..."

I am a guitarist, after all...I need to school up on my Zepp.

The cover of the album I was actually listening to was slightly more nsfw than I'd like, so Dahlia.

Not specifically that video, but I like that one because it includes Kalinka and  Eyes. I really want to see those guys live.

Following my current russian mood, I have also been listening a bit of Vitas:

Taking a break from Led Zepplein. This is a great, stripped-down blues album, but the mixing is very good late-60's analog recording. One of my favorites.

Listened to this a couple of times today and I really like it. It's a very straightforward rock album overall, but has enough energy and tunefulness to make it enjoyable to listen to. And unlike a lot of albums I've listened to, the deep cuts on this one have grown on me way more than the singles. "Hey Now!", "Cast No Shadow", "Don't Look Back in Anger", and "She's Electric" are my favorite songs from it.

On the streets of south Chicago
There's a struggle to survive
You can play to win or just give in
And let the city eat you alive

You can make it to tomorrow
If you take care of today
You will have a shot if you have got
What it takes to break away

Because...

The Toughest Man In The World
Is the one who knows the right way to go
The Toughest Man In The World
Is strong inside he don't ever hide

(Oh oh oh oh)

Brother's code of honor
When he's up against the wall
The man who tries who won't say die
Is the toughest man of all

It's a hard life in this city
It can bring you to your knees
The town is poor it has no soul
It's concrete and steel
Your face to face with trouble
Looking danger in the eye
You're on your own but never alone,
With courage on your side

Because...

The Toughest Man In The World
Is the one who knows the right way to go
The Toughest Man In The World
Is strong inside he don't ever hide

Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs.

Borrowed this from my dad on vinyl. Of any album, this one is my favorite. There's nothing sadder than a sad English person.

Of any album, this one is my favorite.

While we're talking about favorite albums of all time, here's mine:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soul_Mining

A howling wind blows the litter as the rain flows,
As street lamps pour orange colored shapes through your window,
A broken soul stares from a pair of watering eyes,
Uncertain emotions force an uncertain smile...

The whole entire album is genius from beginning to end.

How do you feel about Blondie?

EDIT: Your silence speaks for itself, I suppose...

Here's the one I'm listening to now, again on vinyl, this time owned by ME...

Listening to Abbey Road.

The one with the four of them walking across the street and Paul has no shoes on, so Paul is dead.

This might seem awful, but I'm imagining the banner headline on CNN.com when Sir Paul passes away...

"PAUL IS DEAD"

...Wonder if anyone on the staff would chime in and say "that's kind of in bad taste."

There was a song that I was hearing from time to time at radio but I could'nt hear the lyric all that well. On top of that, I didn't know the name.
So a moment ago, I try to type little of the words I could make out and after a few failed try, I finally find it.
I heard the song's name before but never knew it was this one. X D
