Question from a newbie :)
« on: July 23, 2012, 10:30:39 am »
Hello everyone at romhacking :D

I'm new at all this, and I need some advice for figuring out the translation mod for Bunny Must Die (http://www.romhacking.net/translations/1396/)

The readme says to use a program called patch.exe, and after googling it it seems like that's a program I should already have, but I can't find. Does anyone know more? Thanks :)

You should already have it.  It's in the patch you just downloaded.

7zip is a compression format, like zip/rar/stuffit.  You should get an archive program like WinRAR to decompress it.

thanks Klarth :)

I decompressed the file and found two dat files inside, but nothing else about a patch.exe. Is there something I'm missing?

After decompressing BMD.7z you should have a folder named "patch files" inside that folder is patch.exe, readme.txt, and a folder named "dat."  If you don't have a patch.exe make sure your virus scanner isn't erroneously detecting it as a virus and removing it.
