Of these, only www.padwars.com is not taken. Double check, Panzer! All you have to do is type it into the location bar.

I think he also meant "Time Attack", which isn't taken. And it doesn't have to be a .com, we could be a .net or a .org.

Time Attack works, but I did mean Timed Attack, as in Super Mario RPG.

I was aware of this spooniest, but if .com is taken and it's not a real site, just use .net I wasn't going to withhold suggestions just because someone owns a domain that they aren't doing anything with. Just make it .net

have a little faith in my critical thinking abilities ;) plus I was on a short break on my phone, but I did check a few of them. Besides, even if they are taken it helps the brainstorming process.

http://criticalhit.org isn't taken, neither is http://doublejump.net

http://turboshot.net

http://armbuster.com

Late Night Grind sounds like a porno site.

If it's gonna be a game site about modern and classic gaming, perhaps NeoRetro could fit the bill?

Thanks for all of the great suggestions, guys. I put the best of the best on a poll for this thread, so please vote for your favorites. The one with the most votes will get extra consideration.

Critical Hit could be a double meaning because you are critics that are reviewing games. Also of course in a game a critical hit is a strong attack, but a good game is sometimes called a hit, so you would be reviewing some "critical hits" (aka good games)

I actually really like that. And if we wind up using that, I hope you don't mind me stealing that and using it in one of those faux-dictionary definition things. That'd be awesome. :D

And here I was refraining from commenting on my favorites *cough*neoretro*cough*which-in-reality-is-taken-as-a-dot-net*cough*

But I'm ok with Critical Hit. 'cept .com is taken and .net is being squatted. That leaves us with .org or... .co or .us (PATRIOTISM FTW YES?) or... Well, I don't know, other things.
Who will quote me next?

http://criticalhit.vg (video game)

@DS

If you use that name, feel free to use any of the double meanings. If you dont use it I may, but I have more faith in you guys actually doing something with it, so you get dibs.

Critical Hit could be the top tier of your grading scale of you indeed do employ a grading scale.

It could be something like:

1 -- miss
2 -- weak
3 -- solid
4 -- fierce
5 -- critical hit

Or something like that.

I could also see referencing Pokemon

1 -- miss
2 -- slightly effective
3 -- very effective

I know I'm probably the only one who gets "Button Pushing Overlord." Bragging rights to whoever can name the game it's a reference to.

If you can find a free "Crit Hit" domain that would be super sweet
