Let me guess.

You came here with big ideas and zero intention of learning how to romhack yourself, right? We're happy to help our fellow romhackers, but we chafe at people coming in with no idea what actually goes into these things and asking for help with projects where they'll be the "idea men" and nothing else.

My recommendation? Start with something simple, like a text or graphics hack. We've got plenty of docs to help you get started, and all the tools you could ask for. There are no silver bullets in romhacking, but almost anything's possible with enough time, effort, and cursing.
