Ys games soon on Steam

XSeed has announced they plan to release the PC version of Oath in Felghana next week in North America for $15.
Also announced is Ys Origin, but no price or release date.

I suppose that's nice to be able to legally download them, and I'm going to guess that's quite a bit cheaper than the cost of importing a physical copy?

Sounds pretty good except I've either imported a bunch of games from Falcom or bought them off of various people over the years including both Ys games getting a release on Steam.

Incidentally, I wonder if they'll be using the fan translations as a base. Didn't see any mention of that.

Deuce works for XSEED now. The fan-translation of Oath in Felghana was used as a base for their PSP translation, so there's no doubt they'll be using his PC translations for Oath and Origin.

I would be more interested in Ys Complete/Eternal, I think.

Very nice.  I already have the PSP version of Oath, and played through one arc in Origins, but I'd love to have a legit copy of that.  Well, as legit as a digital copy gets, anyway.
