"Supreme Mario Bros" submission: no patch included
« on: March 02, 2012, 04:27:00 pm »
I just downloaded the recently released hack Supreme Mario Bros, and there is no patch in the .zip file.

The .zip contains 3 images and a readme file which has no text

Yes, the author of the hack has been contacted about a resubmission and the responsible staffer has been convicted to read 500 topics on the GameFaqs forum.

Ehh I played the first 2 levels and I do not like this one.  You can beat the first level in like 10 seconds. In the beginning of level two, there is a fork where if you go the wrong way you are stuck and have to wait for the timer to run out to try again.

Hey, stop pickin' on my game. I put alot of hard work into the 5 worlds to have the same difficulty as Super Mario Brothers, so those who aren't that skilled can have fun.
If you own any prototype versions of Super Mario 64...

Also, that's made to trick the player.

That's not very nice, should at least put some sort of trap for the player to kill themself. (firebar? Bullet Bill cannon? A trapped Buzzy Beetle?)

I'm just saying that I decided to stop playing your hack after about 1 minute of playing, which is how long it took to get trapped in a timeout booth.

If there is a documented "do-s and don'ts" on SMB hacking, I'm sure that kind of level design would be #1 on the "don't do this" list.

Your effort is appreciated but that is not fun or challenging

How can you say that after only 1 minute of playing? As far as I know, that was the only "trap" in the game. By the way, what's up with the physics of this game? It's soooooooooooo weird! :D
And I'll leave it at that!
