Hiragana letters
« on: February 18, 2012, 11:20:12 am »
How do you say in Hiragana letters:

"Collected"

てにいれにかず

Is it correct?

Much appreciated.

As in "having gathered multiple pieces in a collection"?

をあつまった。

をあつまった。

あつまる is intransitive, so it would be …があつまった. This actually means that you've now completed your 'collection', e.g. gotten all seven dragon balls.

Alternatives would for example be …をひろった(picked up)・…をとった(took)・…をてにいれた(obtained).

Correct ? I think that hiragana and kanji are mixed in modern Japanese texts. I am not sure.

The hiragana looks fine, but I don't think the katakana is correct.

Unless I'm greatly mistaken, that's the hiragana ね.

It's the hiragana ね ("ne"). You can tell it's not a katakana because it's got a little loop in it; hiragana look more like cursive while katakana look more like print.

Hi!

I'm sorry to have kept you waiting... I appreciate that, thanks.

Anyway, I am still working on Hiragana letters and Katakana letters and I am getting there. :) Right now, I am trying my best:

That's all.  Okay, they're correct ? I hope I'm doing it right. ;)

You seem to have problems to spot the difference between hiragana 'ra' and 'chi'. Notice that in ち (chi) the horizontal stroke at the top goes through the vertical stroke, where in ら (ra) it doesn't. ツ・シ and ソ・ン are difficult for everybody. There's a trick to remembering the difference: It's always the letter which is written in the same 'direction' as the hiragana one. Notice for example that in シ, it goes top-left (first stroke), middle-left (second stroke) and bottom-left to top-right (third stroke); hiragana し goes the same way from top-left to bottom-left to the right. ツ on the other hand, goes top-left, top-middle, top-right to bottom-left, just as in つ.

I think you missed one. ダイナモマソ -> ダイナモマ

The part in red is most likely wrong, but I can't really guess what would be correct...
