I truly love King Of Fighters 2006, even more than the Maximum Impact incarnations. Also, it's one of the few fighting games to realize that allowing the player to pause the game and rotate/zoom the camera SHOULD BE REQUIRED BY LAW FOR 3D FIGHTERS. Other than that, KOF98 is my favorite KOF. I actually think MotW is highly overrated. 
2006 is Maximum Impact 2. It was retitled by SNK Playmore for some reason when they released it in the West, which pissed a lot of people off, as you might imagine, since uhhh it made people who didn't know better think that a goofy-ass spin-off headed by SNK's resident slightly crazy fanboy character designer Falcoon (no longer with the company) was the
new real King of Fighters game maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan.
Of course, MI2 rules, so I mean, whatever. KOFXIII is out now so all the serious KOF people are happy that SNK finally got their shit together.
