Crystal Beans : From Dungeon Explorer (SNES)

After months of delays (my fault, health problems  ), the english translation is done and Pennywise is actually working on the edit (he already edited the first half I translated a few months ago).

The game script isn't that big (~70kb) and according to him, it should be ready around the end of the next week.

So chances are high to see the translation released during December (edit, beta-test, then it's done).

The game is already 100% hacked and I did a Japanese to French translation which got released in May 2010.

I didn't see that game before.  I am looking at picture and it almost same LoZ: ALTTP.   It that really good game?

This game is actually a port of Dungeon Explorer 2 for the Turbo CD.  In all fairness, the Turbo version is vastly superior, but this one isn't that bad really.

Oh...no wonder they did remake in SNES version but SNES version look better than Turbo.   Anyway you mention that you finish made English patch, right?

Pennywise is actually editing the translated script.

According to his last personal message, it'll be finished tomorrow.

The game will need a little beta-test but I think we'll probably have the patch ready before the end of the year.

All texts are translated and edited.

There are actually being reinserted, so we will start to beta-test the translation in a few days (the game is rather short compared to classic adventure games so it shouldn't take a lot of time).

Wow, this is certainly great news! I've been waiting for this translation to be released along with Dragon Ball - Super Goku Den Totsugeki Hen. By the way, I played the French translation of Crystal Beans and thought that you guys did a great job with it! I always like playing as the ninja/kage.

I will say that I'm looking forward to playing this game. That said, I'm not done with the script yet as I was terribly unfamiliar with it while I was going through the script files. Also some of the names are a little clunky and require some thought. I was going to compare them with their Dungeon Explorer 2 counterparts, but Crystal Beans isn't an exact port it seems.

Looks interesting. Judging from what I saw in the HG101 article this will be a game worthy of a graphics overhaul too.
Since it has completely different bosses from the original I'd even suggest hacking all the dungeons too.

Now, we are just waiting for my friend to reinsert the texts to do the beta-test.
