Thanks!
I bought a Gamecube today. Out of respect for the dudes that work there, I won't say where, but it was a drive. I got three games: Ocarina Master Quest, Sonic Adventure DX and Metroid Prime. I started playing Sonic and something odd began happening. The camera was circling around Sonic, directly over his head, and I couldn't figure out why. So I tried this: I loaded up Ocarina (which I had to unplug the controller to do, cuz it kept automatically selecting Master Quest without any input from me), and started the file that was still on the memory card I bought. I went outside and began testing controls. Then Navi shouted "Hey!!" and I began to realize what was going on: I couldn't talk to her.
The C-Stick (the yellow thing) on my Gamecube controller is screwed.
I called up the dudes at the game shop and while I wasn't rude, I made it perfectly clear that I was very unhappy. They said they'd throw in a free game when I came in to replace the controller. Subsistence, here I come.
