I've only just noticed this patch - thank you!

For years I had hoped someone would make a patch for the Western game to re-introduce the lifebar, and was very disappointed that when someone did create a hack for Hard Corps, it didn't address this issue at all and instead just did a bunch of superfluous and utterly useless stuff, like changing some text and other nonsense.

All I've wanted was either an English patch for the JPN version, or a lifebar patch for the US version, and you have given me this, thank you, thank you, thank you.

And for those who talk about how it's meant to be difficult and the butchery of the western version somehow makes it better, that's just flat up wrong. If the original creators originally intended for lifebars in the original design documents, then the purest, truest, most correct form of the game will have lifebars. The localisation team just wanted to make it difficult to complete to prevent resales/quick rentals.

I tried it last night but the two hacks don't seem to work together.

Perhaps the order in which they are applied makes a difference?

you need to fix checksum - I forgot to add it to the patch

You can use it with original U rom or MIJET's hack. After rebild - rom is ready to work

Sense of entitlement much? Pretty sure MIJET deserves better than this.

Essentially, MIJET's patch was a retranslation with a bit of gameplay altering(The lifebar) on the side. Best to look at it like that.

Someone should get some screenshots of that debug level for tcrf.net .
