Suikoden franchise officially dead

Now I've got Suikoden 1's "Load Game" screen music running through my head.

"Learn Japanese or bust" is becoming the way of things lately for RPG fans, otherwise we're stuck with MMO wannabes or dungeon crawlers with non existent narrative.

If its for PSP there will probably be little chance of it coming here.  We'll be lucky if we get Legend of Heroes Trails in the Sky Chapter 2

IMO we're definitely going to get it. XSeed has that decided. I hope.

The issue is the end of the PSP with the Vita coming up. Tierkreis was a while ago when the DS was still current.

This is my favorite news out of TGS

I'm hoping we get it, even if it's likely to be another Tierkreis.  The PSP is pretty much down and out in the US, but maybe Konami will see their way to do this even if they didn't for the Suikoden 1&2 pack.

It would be especially nice if this didn't have Tierkreis' high-school-age annoying as hell main characters, but honestly that one wasn't so bad once it got going.  I'll be picking it up regardless, since no other series goes for the sheer scale or the focus on politics of the Suikoden series - even in its spinoff mode.

Re: LoH2, XSeed has said it's definitely coming.  They've said they're trying to find a way to get it on PSN too, since it's much cheaper distribution, and includes Go customers.  The main difficulty is it's 2 UMDs.
