First, a few menus. I basically need to know anything here that isn't character names, or the town name in the case of the first shot.




Second, I have a big list of variables that needs translation. I realize that it's a lot; I did some of it myself, but it's 2AM and I'm completely beat. The kanji are "Red", "Hill" "That thing" and the katakana says "Studio".

About that last entry 赤坂某スタジオ

赤坂 - This is the name of a place "Akasaka" or, like posted above "Red Hill". It is a part of the Harbour Ward of Tokyo. It can also be a last name.
某 - This kanji, in this context, means "somewhere". It's used when one doesn't want to, or more commonly can't give away the exact location or name of something.
スタジオ - This means studio and encompasses most of the meanings the Enlgilsh word does.

Put it all together and you have something like "a studio somewhere in Akasaka" or "a certain studio in Akasaka"

Just an addendum to Darkness Savior's post, some of my translations may be incorrect:

I would say that マチョビタン　is a type of steroid. マチョ or "macho" is Japanese take on "Macho". Think "Macho Man". And of course ビタン is sometimes used as a contraction of ビタミン or "vitamin", it's often used with health suppliments. What do we get? "Macho Vitamins". In Japanese this sounds a lot less severe than "steroids", more something like "muscle juice". Though I might be way of the mark here, I'm pretty drunk right now.

Also アンクローズ sounds a bit much like "unclothe". As in take off your clothes and show me your muscles. Only now I KNOW it's the booze talking. I should really stop typing now

マヒころり - mahikorori (not sure, but kororito means easily, effortlessly, suddenly or utterly)
リサリサ - risarisa (risai means suffering and risan means something about dispersal or scattering)
ホ～ルズ - ho~ruzu (very strange... horu means to dig or engrave)

That's about all I could make out from these, hopefully someone will provide a better translation. By the way, this game's layout seems very similar to Haou Taikei - Ryuu Knight. Was it made by the same company (was it Bandai)? I never played Rejoice, but it looks like fun game. I sure did like Ryuu Knight.

マヒ is a typical RPG term for Paralysis.

Rejoice uses the same game engine and was likely made by the same developers. It's the result of a collaboration between Japan Art Media and Yanoman, and is actually a gaiden to the Aretha series. That's why you'll find me posting about it on D-D's Aretha 2 board.

マチョビタン is most likely a play on the name of the energy drink リポビタンＤ . マッチョン is probably something similar, but I don't know which brand name it would be.

This is *such* a huge help! Thanks again, everyone! I should be able to start posting some snaps in the next day or two. Got the menus working, mostly - have to rework one or two terms now that I'm starting to understand them better. "Potions" does work best, with probably "Tools" instead of "Special Attacks" - as it really brings up a list of non-healing consumable items. So that'll need to get tweaked. But otherwise it's looking really nice!
