Could you design some title screens for the Goemon Gaiden games on the NES FlashPV?
In fact I've already done them a long time ago:
Goemon Gaiden
Goemon Gaiden  2

"Legend"? Isn't the name supposed to be "Goemon Side Story"? I wouldn't be against using "Gaiden" either since the word is pretty familiar thanks to Ninja Gaiden.

You can even put "Gai" & "Den" in a smaller font below the O and the N.

Yes! Pretty awesome!

Hey FlashVP, what could you do with this one?

For now I've seen that KingMike is working on Battle Zeque Den so I made a title screen for this game:

FlashPV will be a man of legend in these circles. No one can touch his titlescreen history and work!

Thanks but that's because I'm doing this since a long time by now.
Here's the layer for Battle Zeque Den. Just in case...

By the way what's the english name for Ganbare Goemon 3 (Snes)?

According to HG101, Goemon 3's subtitle roughly translates as "The Mechanic Octopus Hold of the Lion Elite Guard".

Haha, it's not a Parodius title :P

I would rather have it in the style of the original, thicker on the left, somewhat smaller on the right :)

If you haven't heard of it, it's a Star Soldier parody.

So then it should be Star Paroldier?  That's what the katakana seem to suggest, anyway.

And I made a title screen for Goemon 2 too.

Not quite as fancy, but certainly serviceable. (Just to show that I haven't *completely* forgotten about this...)

I like the more rounded "Goemon" from Gideon's pic, but I like the "Ganbare" from FlashPV's pic.

I think the community needs to stop leaving Japanese words in titles for English translations of Japanese games.

I should probably make two addendums to that post.
First, Neill Corlett designed that title screen, so all props go to him. Second, it's an actual screenshot, not a mockup.

I think there was a discussion somewhere else recently here, where it was decided there wasn't a translation for the title that doesn't sound terrible in English.

I'm pretty sure it was in this thread. And something like "Go! Go! Goemon!" would work fine. Or something along those lines.

And hell, if no one can find an acceptable wording for "Ganbare!" in English, then calling it "Mystical Ninja Goemon" would also be acceptable.

Anything is better than leaving random Japanese words in. >_>

We did. In this thread. And I pointed out a solution I felt would work very well. I think only about one or two people noticed, though. (And yes, my suggestion was "Go, Go, Goemon!" or so.)
