After doing some research, regarding Mario's sprite behavior, and talking with the author of the ROM-hack, I'm re-reviewing this game with a fresh mindset.

Nightcrawler

English

Description:

Nightcrawler has been around since the very beginnings of ROM hacking in 1996. He founded Nightcrawler’s Translation Corporation in 1997 going on to release several fan translations. He later founded ROMhacking.net in 2005 providing a home for the entire community. He has assisted countless individuals over the years on many projects and often cites spending so much time teaching others as a big reason for so few finished personal releases.

Whether it be teaching, working on utilities, fan translations, or maintaining ROMhacking.net, he is always generously donating time, money, or hard work to the ROM hacking community and it’s members. Keeping that up for over 15 years says something about the passion and dedication he has toward his work, peers, and community. Few, if any, could say they have given so much.

He is the self-proclaimed ‘Dark Angel of ROM hacking’. What does that mean? Is he a fallen angel? Is he coming to us from exile? Is he the ROM hacking community’s super hero? Or, is there a deeper philosophical meaning? We may never know, but if his track record is any indication, we can expect that good things are yet to come.
