Penta Penguin is a romhacker who started in late 2008, after being taught how to romhack by a good friend of his, who he hasn’t seen since early 2009. He took over his friend’s project of High Seas Havoc findings, but has still not released it yet. He started romhacking on the Genesis format, finding data and noting them on a rom map.

A few months in, he taught himself how to find data on other formats, like the SNES, Game Boy Color, NES, amongst many, but still finds the Genesis to be the easiest format to find data on. He has a lot of documents on different games, but even those are unreleased yet. His main interest is romhacking games which don’t have any tools released for it yet. He is very weak at doing any sort of Assembly/Disassembly hacking, because he doesn’t understand it well enough.

He hopes to do translation hacks soon, and is learning French, Spanish, Japanese and Croatian to do so.
