Bisqwit

Finnish

Description:

Bisqwit has been a ROM hacking and emulation enthusiasist since 1997. In 2002 he contacted a then-prominent translation group, DeJap translations, in the interest of translating Tales of Phantasia into Finnish language, and completed that project in 2002 along with a help of a few of his friends (Warp and few others). Later he also joined DeJap, though the group had already largely withdrawn from ROM hacking endeavors.

Later that year, he began independently hacking Chrono Trigger, and released an open-source tool set for translating that game, along with a Finnish translation of that game. The same theme has continued, albeit at slow pace, to this day.

In late 2011 one of his YouTube videos became popular at certain geek sites such as Reddit. In the video, he showcases the programming of a NES emulator from beginning to end in under 15 minutes, in less than 1000 lines of C++ code: http://youtu.be/y71lli8MS8s
