Lost Treasures of the Community!

This section is dedicated to abandoned project work. This includes unfinished documents, utilities, translations, and hacks. One hacker's abandoned trash may be another hacker's treasure trove! We ask that any submission in this section contain only one compressed archive file with all of the projects work as well as a file with some description on the contents of the archive. Any submissions for unfinished Utilities, Translations, and Hacks should include full source code.

Akuma-kun - Makai no WanaDave Augusta[EDIT] [REMOVE]
Me_Dave's Abandoned English Hack of Akuma-kun - Makai no Wana Japan for the Nes, this is not a translation at all it does however include 3 very nicely done Hack's. With Readme, Patches, Table files, a tool, hints, Password Cracking info, etc.

Pokemon NativityChippy2000[EDIT] [REMOVE]
This WAS a side project that was used alongside Pokemon Gold Beta/Alpha REVIVAL. It was a Christmas edition of Pokemon Gold and only got to Mr.Pokemon's House or, in this case, The Stable. Have fun altering or playing this hack. Version - 1.0 FINAL Status - Finished and Abandoned

Translations

Akuma-kun Makai no WanaTomato[EDIT] [REMOVE]
I translated the text for Akuma-kun way back in like 2001, but I guess the project fell apart at some point after I finished. Feel free to use these files however you want - it's been a loooong time though so it might be worth just retranslating from scratch.

Albert Odyssey 2Bongo’[EDIT] [REMOVE]
Abandoned Albert Odyssey 2 translation work from Bongo’ including notes, tools, and source code. No readme file with detailed information on contents.

Angel MarloweEvolutions[EDIT] [REMOVE]
This project only has a font replacement and a complete english translation that was never inserted into the game. The author was hoping that someone would come along and insert the script. All that the author asks is that if you use the included translation, use the font included in the patch.

Aretha 2Bongo’[EDIT] [REMOVE]
Aretha 2 translation work from Bongo’ including notes, tools, script, and source code. No readme file with detailed information on contents.

Battle Golfer YuiGuest[EDIT] [REMOVE]
A starter pack by Guest. I believe it includes a script dumper and inserter, but I’m not sure.

Benkei Gaiden: Suna no ShouBongo’[EDIT] [REMOVE]
Benkei Gaiden: Suna no Shou translation work from Bongo’ including notes, tools, script, and source code. No readme file with detailed information on contents.

Blue AlmanacGuest[EDIT] [REMOVE]
This is another starter pack that takes care of script extraction and insertion. This sort of thing would be meaningless unless anything relating to the script is compressed which is usually the case anyways. Source and tools are included.

Caspertashi[EDIT] [REMOVE]
This is a mostly complete English translation of the SNES Casper originally released in Japan in 1997 based on the movie "Casper" released two years prior. The Casper game by Natsume released in America in 1996 has no connection to this game in any way. In this game, the player controls Kat in an isometric world. Casper follows her around the haunted mansion helping her search for her father. Exploration and puzzle-solving abound. All the while, the evil Carrigan and her henchman, Dibs, have grown impatient and are hot on your trail. Can Kat and Casper overcome the odds and save Kat's daddy?! I am abandoning this project because the intro contains compressed text and a few cutscenes use a sprite-based font which I cannot hack. As is, all in-game dialogue is translated and inserted, so I consider the game very playable, even if incomplete. In this archive you will find IPS and xdelta patches, the Japanese table, my English table, the Atlas script I inserted, and some other notes.

Castlevania Starter PackGuest[EDIT] [REMOVE]
This is a starter pack, containing a text and graphics dumper and inserter for Castlevania for X68000.

Dai Kaijuu Monogatari Near CompletionDaMarsMan[EDIT] [REMOVE]
This is an almost complete translation of Dai Kaijuu Monogatari for SNES. It's a follow up of byuu's work and contains a nearly complete script and item translation by 'Gerb' (DQ5 PS2 fame). It's so close but the technical aspect has gone beyond my (DaMarsMan) capabilities. Please finish it and give credit where credit is due!

Dai Kaijuu Monogatari Workbyuu[EDIT] [REMOVE]
This archive contains all the script, font, and VWF hacks and more. Basically, byuu had hacked Dai Kai mostly to completion but never found a suitable translator and no longer has time for the project. Please read the included readme for more details and licensing wishes from byuu himself.

Destiny of an Emperor IIID[EDIT] [REMOVE]
This is a basic package of public tools from an abandoned Destiny of an Emperor III by D. The archive includes table files, pointer locations, script dumper, and script dump. See readme.txt for specific info.

Double Moon DensetsuBongo’[EDIT] [REMOVE]
Double Moon Densetsu translation work from Bongo’ including notes, tools, script, and source code. No readme file with detailed information on contents.

DQ3 Remix Abandoned Tools and Workbyuu[EDIT] [REMOVE]
The archive contains: - 12×12 font decompressor - dialogue text decompressor - 99+% accurate, complete 12×12 kanji table - 12×12 font insertor + hack (inserted font is not compressed) - dialogue text insertor + hack (inserted text is not compressed) - notes on disassemblies, offsets and variables used by font and dialogue compression routines - partial (~10%) script translation that was done by myself, probably not very accurate. Translates most of the intro and first town or two.

G.O.D. Toolsbyuu, satsu[EDIT] [REMOVE]
This was submitted by byuu on behalf of satsu. This archive contains script dumper, full script, and script inserter. Although, it needs a few tweaks to work well. See the readme file. If these details can be ironed out and new script dump made, satsu is willing to translate.

Grandia: Parallel Trippers English Tables and ScriMr Fwibbles[EDIT] [REMOVE]
To be used alongside the Starter Pack by Anonymous. Here's the full set of tables and translated scripts I worked with for the English translation patch for the game. With this, you can use my English translation as a basis for translating into other languages. Includes the completed English translation patch (to apply to one of your ROMs to use as a reference point) and a patch by Malias which fixes the compressed text that the starter pack didn't.

Heroine Anthem IID[EDIT] [REMOVE]
Tools to aid in the translation and hacking of Heroine Anthem II. You will need to supply the contentments of the /script/ folder from a Heroine Anthem II install to get these tools working. Instructions are included to get the tools working on both Windows and Linux. The script files in the /txt/ folder are stored in Traditional Chinese Big5 encoding.

Little Master (GB)Zatos[EDIT] [REMOVE]
This is the tables, the dumped text, translated text and also my condensed/revised text. I might have made some mistakes because I wasn't the most skilled hacker. At least it gives you the translated text. There might be a little bit I missed somewhere but I think I pretty much got all of it.

Lord MonarchGuest[EDIT] [REMOVE]
This is another starter pack that takes care of script extraction and insertion. Source and tools included.

Magical Taluluto AdventureGuest[EDIT] [REMOVE]

OtogirisouGuest[EDIT] [REMOVE]
Another starter pack by Guest. It looks like this includes a script dumper and inserter and possibly more. Readme and other notes included.

Panorama CottonGuest[EDIT] [REMOVE]
Not sure what the starter pack actually does, but it is special one. It has a special journal for its various complexities which are probably a hacker's nightmare. Someone has also translated the story on GameFAQS.

Puyo PuyoGuest[EDIT] [REMOVE]
Another starter pack that deals with script extraction and insertion. Source and tools included.

Quest of KiTomato[EDIT] [REMOVE]
I translated these quickly for someone back in 2001 or so, but I guess they lost interest. There isn’t much text in this Famicom game, which is nice. There might be a few cases of improperly dumped text, though. I can’t really remember. If anyone wants to use this stuff, go right ahead!

Rent-a-HeroGuest[EDIT] [REMOVE]

Tomato AdventureTomato[EDIT] [REMOVE]
This is all the source code, files, notes, and such that I used during my early attempt to translate Tomato Adventure. Many of the files aren't used for anything anymore, so be sure to read the instructions before messing around with stuff. Hopefully the notes and info in here will help someone build better tools and a final translation patch!

Zelda4DX editorcooltoby[EDIT] [REMOVE]
The reason why I am actually posting is that I am looking for somebody who might be interested to continue this project. It's written in C# I think if somebody would write a save function, you could already use it for small hacks…
