The FE6 translation team has just recently updated with a patch. (I’m not joking here, this post and theirs are like two minutes apart!)

Shining Force Central has released an updated completed patch for Shining Force: Final Conflict. This patch release fixes various bugs, typos, and untranslated strings that have come to light since the initial release back in August.

Radical Dreamers 1.4

Radical Dreamers 1.4 is out for a Christmas release! (I know it’s the 30th, but it was out on Christmas, for Pete’s sake.)This patch takes the unoffical patch (and some extra) and rolls them into an easy to patch offical 1.4 patch. You can grab the patch either from Demiforce’s page or Radical R’s page.
Staff Notes - This patch includes:
- Radical R’s unofficial work is included and allows the game to be played on a copier.
- In game saves work.
- A few crashing bugs were fixed.
- Typos were corrected.

The Port Pier Serial Murder Case Beta Patch Complete

DvD from DvD Translations writes the following on “Port Pier Serial Murder Case,” an NES game he is translating:
“After 2 years of working on this project, we’ve just finished the beta patch. What this means is that the game is 100% translated and, as far as we know, 100% edited. But, what we are doing with the beta is checking for any places people get stuck in the game we may need to change something in the translation or add something to the manual to help folks out. We’d like to release the completed patch before the end of the year, but it will depend on how quickly the beta testing goes.
If anyone is seriously interested in being a beta tester, I MAY still be looking for beta testers. Contact DvD at his hotmail.com account with the name davedigiorgio.”
He originally wrote this to The Whirlpool on December 15, he may or may not be still accepting beta testers as of this writing.

A new patch release for FE6 for the GBA was released in October by Dark Twilkitri Net Translation Division. Since then, the project has been delayed and the group is looking for help. Anybody interested in helping out should contact them.

Sin & Punishment

Vanit has released a translation of Sin & Punishment (aka Tsumi to Batsu) for N64.
Note that this is done through a texture-replacement feature with a specific plug-in, as opposed to a ROM patch. (Rice’s Video Plug-in 6.1.0. You may want to check how it works on your system before downloading the 5 MB texture pack from his site.)
King Colossus translation updated

The recently released translation of King Colossus for the Sega Genesis got an update to version 051203. The patch fixes a compatibility problem with the emulator Gens and further updates the readme with answers to common problems regarding the game.

Everyone likes progress screenshots. The dialogue menu is expanded and working properly. A few more bugs need to be worked out and then beta testing can commence.

After nearly five years without any progress, Cless has made some headway! He’s replaced the font, and the issue with the menu has been fixed. But he says the game is in need of some ASM work for a truly “flawless quality” patch. :(
