Announcing the release of ROLL-CHAN 3 IMPROVEMENT patch.
As many Mega Man fans may know by now, Mega Man 3 was released back in 1990 for the NES. However, along with the release of the game, it was already suffering with unresolved bugs and unimplemented features that could have made the game better. After 20 years, kuja killer created a Mega Man 3 Improvement (MM3I) patch for not only the US version of the game, but also for the Japanese version. It fixed all known bugs, like the Top Spin energy drain and the mosaic in the Stage Select screen; and he added more features for the game, like the Exit command and the real-time weapon switching. After the next few years, he made it as far as supplementing the game with an introduction movie, shown here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bed6y5sX03E
With that achievement, Zynk took the time to create a Roll-chan version of the improved Mega Man 3 game. Applying the patch with the Roll-chan 3 was very simple, but with the changes made in MM3I, more hacking was needed. And with the new Intro-scene, Zynk made a Roll-chan version of it, too.
With all that, please enjoy Roll-chan 3 Improvement!

There’ve been quite a few passes at this, but after some careful reflection upon the matter, it was decided to go farther.
So here it is: J2Evisceration, so named because it removes a lot that doesn’t need to be there. The swearing is 99% gone (sometimes it is implied but not outright said), the translation errors (”Cafe” is now “Pub”, “Gravitation” is now “Magnetism”), and the just purely made up stuff that J2e added in are all gone, and replaced with whatever works, or sometimes, what is after all the Steam version.
This is intended to replace Cosmetic Changes 2, and yes, if you’re wondering, Tellah yells “You spoony bard.”
Interesting side note re: Edward/Gilbert. His name appears to default to Gilbert when using Snes9x, but on a more accurate emulator (bsnes) it defaults to Edward.
It’s an interesting feature to have. Did you know a bug becomes a feature when you document it? :D
Please, enjoy yourselves.

ROM Hacks News - RHDN Project Page
Communist Mario 3 is a hack of Super Mario Bros. 3, which was started about a year ago. Inspiration came from setz, author of another hack here on RHDN. He made Communist Mario, a hack of SMB1. It can be reached here: http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/2365/
In this hack, players journey as Comrade Mario in a quest to extinguish capitalism that is threatening Mother Russia and the USSR. The major gameplay change is that avoiding coins is key, since they hurt Comrade Mario. All the levels have received some form of facelift, but remain mostly unchanged as far as layout goes.
Another major change is the technical modifications that allowed for a deeper implementation of the theme and style. The original ROM had 4 frames of animation. This hack uses 16 frames of animation, all animating in the same amount of time as the original 4!
Each world map has also received some change: they all have their own graphics page! This allows for much more flexibility in designing a rich, visual environment than you could with the original setup.
A few more minor things have been done to improve and speed up the flow of the game: No game overs, faster text type speed, very little “disabled controls” time (in mushroom houses), and no goal cards- the level just ends.

7th Dragon 2020 is the sequel to the original Nintendo DS 7th Dragon, moving the action to near-future Tokyo and trading in the strong Etrian Odyssey influence of the original for a more streamlined, modern vibe. However, there is still plenty here for players who love picking their own classes, building their own party, and getting stomped on by monsters. The high-profile creative trio behind the original 7th Dragon - director Kazuya Niinou (Etrian Odyssey, Trauma Center), producer Rieko Kodama (Phantasy Star, Skies of Arcadia), and composer Yuzo Kushiro (Streets of Rage, Etrian Odyssey) - all return, with a cameo and alternate soundtrack by, yes, Hatsune Miku.
The translation is not perfect, but just as with the translation of the original NDS, it should be edited enough to be fluid and enjoyable. The complete game has been translated, excepting only some inessential graphics.
There is a snag with name entry on actual hardware (the game requires full-width English characters in Unicode) that will hopefully be corrected soon, but there are no known major issues in emulation so far.
