The final version (v1.0) of the German translation for “Lufia & The Fortress of Doom” has been released! This is the first patch ever released translating the complete dialog script of the game, as well as all text graphics into German. This is comprised of over 3000 dialog strings (that corresponds to more than 300 pages of text in font size 10 in an office document). Of course all menu screens and items are German as well.
Please provide feedback to digisalt_AT_gmx_DOT_de if you like to and have fun with the patch :)

I have released a translation of the NES action-RPG Dragon Scroll.
Created by Konami, Dragon Scroll is similar to the original Zelda. It’s shorter than Zelda, but it can be much more of a challenge to find all the items without help.
Thanks to Eien Ni Hen for the translation and FlashPV for the title design.

After a year and half, Dragon Slayer Jr. - Romancia is done!
DvD Translations’ translation of Romancia features a variable-width font, a fully translated, edited, and polished script, a translated title screen, cleaned up/restored the graphics on the title screen, and extensive beta testing to weed out bugs.
It also features enhancements to game play to make the game more playable/enjoyable including: bug fixes to the original code, script embellishment for better hints, (optional) restoration of a previously unattainable item, and (optional) removal of the main situation that required you to have to restart the game.
Although greatly improved from when it was first beta tested, figuring out what to do in the game is still the most difficult part, and none of us can kill the final boss without extensive use of save-states.
If you are ready for a challenge, try it out!
Staff - Get it here at RHDN.

After months of working on it on and off, I have finally completed my English translation of Golvellius for the MSX. The game is an action RPG in the same vein as The Legend of Zelda, with the exception that the dungeons resemble either a side-scroller or a top-down shooter, depending on the area in the game.
You can grab the patch on my homepage, linked below; should you ever get stuck, be sure to visit the “Overworld Map” page. Fans of this game should note that the “Golvellius” section of my website will eventually be complemented with monster statistics, algorithms, secrets I have learned while hacking the game, and possibly a French translation.
Staff - Patch also available here at RHDN.

Some folks may already know David Shadoff and I have been working on a translation patch for Maison Ikkoku. We are happy to announce it’s been released as of April 8th 2008.
Maison Ikkoku is a graphical, menu-based interactive digital comic, based on the events of the manga and anime series. You play as Godai, who must win the heart of Kyoko by running around town, doing certain things, making some people happy, and somehow dealing with your meddling neighbours. And all this on a limited budget, and without really knowing what ‘certain things’ need to be achieved.
A line of the ending text is untranslated which will probably be fixed with a follow up patch, but otherwise it appears to be bug free and has been played start to finish successfully.
The patch is available here on RHDN. It is intended to be applied to the game image including header, with a size of 262,656 bytes. Translation notes, cheats & hints, and a translated manual are also available from the “relevant link”. Enjoy!

Because it’s so weak, FuSoYa’s Regen command in FFIV is not really worth using; it only restores 10 HP per phase, for a total heal of about 100 HP. At the point in the game where he joins your party, this is pretty pathetic. This patch increases the HP recovery of the command to 255 HP per phase, for a total heal of 2000-2500 HP.

Unlike the previous two original games Bare Knuckle 3 was heavily censored for its western release. Look forward to this uncensored version of Streets of Rage 3 (by Twilight Translations) currently aimed for a Christmas ‘08 release. Be sure to check out their site for more information!
