Removed Alternate Title. The title is already read "Captain Rainbow", even if its romanized its still officially read as "Captain Rainbow". Besides reading romanizations is kinda weeaboo cringe level.

The Quest of Lala RELEASED!

14 August 2017 10:19AM EST - Update by Zynk

ROM Hacks News - RHDN Project Page

The Quest of Lala is a complete level hack of The Adventures of Lolo. This time, the damsel in distress, Princess Lala is the protagonist and Lolo was the one kidnapped by the Devil King AKA the evil King Egger.

The levels are based on the PC game “Eggerland: Episode 0 - Quest of Rara”, but improvises were made since the NES game has limitations in displaying too many enemies and moveable blocks, and some items not available from the PC version (e.g. mirror blocks and the enemy teleportation bug). The PC game has 32 rooms, so the unreleased “Kopio levels” are present to accommodate the remaining rooms.

This hack was made with the Neptune level editor.

If anyone has a copy of the original PC freeware game, please share it!

Megami Tensei Gaiden: Last Bible Special is now officially in English!

08 August 2017 9:23PM EST - Update by mrrichard999

Translations News - RHDN Project Page

Here is the complete English translation patch for the Game Gear title, Megami Tensei Gaiden: Last Bible Special. Not only has everything been translated, but some improvements to the game have been made as well, such as making the enemy encounter rates more reasonable and incorporating faster turning in the dungeons (as it was very slow by default). We hope you enjoy this release!

The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Skull Leader Complete Pack translation is released!

06 August 2017 9:35AM EST - Update by celcion

Translations News - RHDN Project Page

We present to you our first translation patch in 2017!

This time it’s Macross: Skull Leader Complete Pack for PC-98. This game is one of the best examples of a VN mixed with a strategy game, and it’s based on a popular in Japan mecha series called Macross (known in the west as Robotech, with quite a few modifications). This game in particular covers the movie “Do You Remember Love?”, but it also takes some stuff from the anime series. It also contains some plot elements/characters of its own.

We settled on translating the Complete Pack, because it is a compilation of both the Skull Leader and Love Stories, and as such it is, well, the most complete version of the game, with two lengthy campaigns.

So, we hope you enjoy this little PC-98 gem!

Secondly, thanks for all of your feedback on RHDN 3.0. We’ve heard you, and we know what we have to do to fix it. Going forward we will outsource site design and layout to the professionals. There are no designers on staff, nor any community volunteers. We have done our best to get by for free, but that has not been enough. To fund this (if Patreon does not work out exceptionally well), our primary task will be finding sponsors for the site (appropriate Patreon tiers would be exempt from advertising). If you have any recommendations for your favorite design firm, or web consultant, please contact the staff! Also, if you have recommendations for sponsors that you think would be a good fit (or if you happen to be a sponsor yourself), contact us!
