This application lets you edit all 8 levels of the game. You can add sections to extend the length of the levels. You can add, remove and edit enemy types, position and properties. You can modify the color palettes for the background and the sprites, including the cycling colors. You can also change the Green Guys Generator sequences, found in Indoor levels. Several other visual options can assist the user in level design: grids, enemy indexes, enemy outlines, enemy search, player view, etc…

It is released under Mac OS X Mavericks (10.9), but it is backwards compatible down to Mac OS X Leopard (10.5), and should work on Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10). It can be run on 32 bits and 64 bits systems…

Magic isn’t wasting your time now. Classes like Bard, Scholar, or Hunter have access to many more pieces of equipment to become a useful member of the party all throughout the game. You can go hunt monsters in search of weapons and armor, or the originally very scarce FenixDowns, something that the original game never did.

There’s also the possibility to choose which aspects of the hack you want and use only those, or give the game a new “coat of paint” here and there, if you wish!

This is a complete retranslation and relocalization from the ground up, based on the original Japanese. The aim is to have an end product that is accurate and professional. Official sources have been used to minimize errors in context and spelling. The project’s name “Beacause” comes from a misspelling (in the original localization) in the only line spoken by Jenova.

Dynamic-Designs has released a completed translation patch for Super Shell Monster Story 1 aka Daikaijyuu Monogatari. Super Shell Monsters Story is a classic turn-based RPG similar in style to the SNES Dragon Quest games with a style that is a bit more on the humorous side.

In a mystical world far away, a legendary race of beings called Shell Monsters dwell. These are not those sorts of monsters that threaten other life forms, though. Just the opposite. Instead, these special “people” live extremely long lives and enjoy mysterious powers that certain heroes – sometimes reluctantly – use against tyrants that threaten the peaceful existence of their World of Shelldorado!

Such a threat has arisen recently – a fiend known as “Fat Badger – and Elder Hermit Crab of Shell Village is about to invoke an ancient chant that elders must memorize, to summon a human hero from another world that is quite distant from Shelldorado. Soon, the perplexed would-be hero, whether he wants to or not, will embark on an ocean voyage in the flimsy Puka shell craft, hoping to locate his madcap shell hero companions who somehow seem to be drifting far afield from their assigned duties!

Main change that game can now be completed in 2-players mode without ’synchronized swimming’ : “the revolution” now adapted to 2 players, “intruder excluder”, “ice caverns” and some other levels yet more easier than in version 1.2 .
